Jason Bruges

Mirror, Mirror was commissioned by the V&A in partnership with SAP for the Decode exhibition.
Mirror, Mirror explores the concept of narcissism and the individual’s relationship with space and others. The playful nature of the work encourages you to explore the interactivity and consider the interconnected relationships.
The white dot matrix digital panels seem to float on the pond, awakening as visitors come into view. Cameras mounted within the LED dot matrices capture activity in the garden and simultaneously reflect this back to the viewer; the animated images are then mirrored once again in the surface of the water, creating multiple reflections.

Jason Bruges Studio unveiled ‘Infinity Wall’ at 100% Light. The work challenges the concept of infinity and illusion, creating volumes of light in virtual space. As with the entire studio’s work, the piece is interactive and incomplete without the engagement of passers-by.
A limited edition of 25 ‘Infinity Wall’ pieces, ranging from 1.6 – 8m in length, was available on a built-to-order basis.
Infinity Wall was then taken to the Bluebird, formerly Conran Restaurant, on Kings Road as part of a light exhibition called Shine.

Comissioned by Five to design an interactive artwork, Jason Bruges Studio created The Hero Room Art Piece in collaboration with BuckleyGrayYeoman Architects, made from panels of interactive LEDS embedded in the honeycomb room lining. The lighting artwork responds to a choice of feeds such as Five live feed, activity within the room and external environment.
